TV UNAM is the cultural channel of the National Autonomous University of Mexico, which is the biggest university in Latin America with 400 000 students.
It is one the country's newest TV stations of the country and includes high quality in-house production as well as a large sample of the best world television and world cinema (they also have their own film festival, FICUNAM, and a film school).
Since launching on 24 October 2005, TV UNAM has created a unique programming style based on its wide conception of culture, with a deep sense of diversity and its ongoing support to new audiovisual styles and creators.
TV UNAM has been awarded more than 300 prizes, both national and international.

The channel has no revenues from advertising.
TV UNAM can be seen nationwide through DTH via all cable systems and in 26 major cities on free tv, including Mexico City.
TVUNAM can also co-produce with Europe.
